About Francesco Rinaldi e Figli:
Today, Francesco Rinaldi e Figli is run by sisters Paola and Piera Rinaldi, with the next generation—Elisa and Francesca—joining in 2023. The winery remains deeply rooted in classic Barolo tradition, producing wines with no new oak, long macerations, and extended aging in large Slavonian botti, with only minimal modern updates. Best known for its age-worthy Barolos from iconic vineyards like Brunate, Cannubi, and Rocche dell’Anunziata, the estate applies the same meticulous care across its entire lineup, from Nebbiolo d’Alba to Dolcetto and Grignolino. Both the blended Barolo and Barbaresco are built to age gracefully, while the single-cru bottlings stand among the finest expressions of their terroirs—powerful yet balanced, aromatic, and complex—reaching their peak after a decade or more and continuing to evolve beautifully for many years beyond.
